Steaz Unveils New Look for Energy Drink Line

Green tea-based beverage company Steaz relaunched its natural energy drink line to prominently showcase the product’s defining characteristics. The new Steaz Energy can features product claims “certified organic,” “Fair Trade,” and “energy.”

“We believe in making it easy for consumers to make better beverage choices by utilizing clean labels on all of our products, and this recent rebrand completes that effort across the complete Steaz portfolio,” said Linda Barron, CEO of Steaz, based in Doylestown, Pa.

WTN161004_SteazEnergySteaz Energy contains naturally occurring caffeine sourced from all-natural green tea, guarana and yerba mate, and the company voluntarily discloses its caffeine content on all Energy drink labels. Energy drink flavors Orange, Berry and Super Fruit are USDA Certified Organic; Zero Calorie Berry is not. Steaz’s trademark is “the world’s first Fair Trade Certified organic energy drink.”

Eric J. Pierce, director of business insights at New Hope Network, cited Steaz as an example of the success of natural products in appealing to  mainstream consumers’ growing concerns about brain health. He noted that the green tea extract in Steaz products is associated with reduced inflammation and increased mental alertness.

“As we experience an aging population and more stress in our lives, many are finding themselves looking for more energy or mental agility or acuity,” Pierce said in Food Business News.

“So the idea of cognitive health and support is something that is growing in terms of attention.”

In August, First Beverage Financial, the investment banking arm of First Beverage Group, announced the sale of Steaz to a “privately-held strategic buyer.”
