TAZOlaunched its three new ready-to-drink iced teas nationwide in January. The teasare available in familiar TAZO signature flavors consumers love: Awake, Zen andPassion, which can now be enjoyed from convenient bottles.
The creation of this line is in response to theever-increasing demand for ready-to-drink tea. Mintel’s 2019Tea & RTD Teas Report states ready-to-drink tea currently represents awhopping 77% of the United States tea market and that between 2014 and 2019 RTDtea sales increased by 26%. TAZO is meeting consumer demands in terms of formatand flavors.
The three flavors are TAZO’s best-selling bagged tea blends.Awakeis a robust English Breakfast style blend of black teas; Zenis an invigorating mix of green tea, spearmint, lemon verbena, and lemongrass;and Passionis a vibrant infusion of hibiscus, orange peel, rose hips, lemongrass andcinnamon.

The collection also establishes a healthy benchmark. All ofthe blends in the collection are certified USDA Organic by Oregon Tilth Certified Organic. TAZOis conscientious about sourcing premium ingredients worldwide and have not addedany artificial flavors or preservatives to the teas. At 5g/100mL, each single-serve bottle of tea contains nearly30% less sugar than other TAZO ready-to-drink blends.
Furthermore, TAZO sets an environmentally conscious exampleby being one of the first widely distributed iced tea brands to manufacture itsbottles from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, according to the company.
The delightfully delicious teas are available insingle-serve 12-ounce bottles and multi-serve 42-ounce bottles. The collectionis currently distributed to Target, other large grocery outlets and selectconvenience stores and can be found exclusively in the refrigerated section.
TAZO may expand the line in the future to include other flavors.
