Bridgeport, Conn.-based TEA-RRIFIC! ICE CREAM is aiming to reach new markets with the introduction of its new online store: www.tearrificicecream.com.
TEA-RRIFIC! produces six flavors currently: Chamomile, London Mist, Chunky London Mist, Ginger Matcha, Lavender’s Blueberry, and Masala Chai. The ice cream is made from hormone-free dairy products with cage-free eggs and organic cane sugar combined with freshly brewed tea and herbals. Pints will be sold for $10 each, with a minimum order of 4 pints.
The company was founded in 2011 by Mario Leite and his wife. Leite left his job as an investment banker to pursue the new business, beginning with two flavors: Thai Iced Tea and Earl Grey. It has gained a great deal of attention nationally. It was a 2014 Food Finalist in Martha Stewart’s American Made competition. London Mist was named one of Real Simple’s “7 Frozen Treats You Should Be Eating This Summer.” The Chamomile was a 2015 sofi award winner. World Tea Expo was one of the first to take note, with a 2012 award for Best New Product in the Edibles category.
In addition to the online store, TEA-RRIFIC! can be found in 150 stores.
