VitaCup Launches Vitamin-Infused Bagged Teas

San Diego, California-based VitaCup added to its repertoire ofvitamin-infused teas in April by offering bagged teas along with its newinfused espresso capsules.

VitaCup enriches its beverages with a signature blend ofvitamins B1, B5, B6, B9, B12, and D3, as well as antioxidants and superfoods.The tea bag collection contains this signature blend, tea leaves andingredients specific to each of three flavors: the Genius Blend, the BeautyBlend, and the Probiotic Blend.

  • Genius Blend has black chai tea with MCT,turmeric and cinnamon.
  • Beauty Blend has herbal rooibos, collagen,biotin and folic acid.
  • Probiotic Blend has sencha green tea, probioticsand aloe vera.

Sugimoto Tea CompanyIntroduces Barley Tea

Sugimoto Tea Company’s Redmond,Washington-based American division is introducing Mugicha, a roasted barley teathat is widely consumed in Japan during summertime.

Mugicha has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor that is smooth and non-astringent. It is conveniently packaged in tea bags and tastes good brewed either hot or cold.

Most often served cold, it is a light, refreshingcaffeine-free beverage, that is perfect for the hot summer months and can beenjoyed by children and adults.

Sugimoto uses a species of barley, Rokujou Oomugi or“Six-Row Barley”, that is naturally low in gluten. With a gluten content of 17parts per million (ppm), it falls below the threshold of what is consideredsafe for people with Celiac disease, 20ppm.

Zest Tea Expands itsDistribution

Baltimore, Maryland-based Zest Tea will grow its retail presence to encompass more than 4,000 stores across the United States in response to consumer demand. This "high octane tea" is known for its high caffeine content and Zest Tea’s founders attribute the tea’s popularity to its ability to replace coffee and energy drinks.

The company’s bagged tea line debuted in 2017, selling inmore than 2,000 locations, including major retail outlets such as Safeway andHEB.

Subsequently, Zest Tea’s sparkling ready-to-drink line hasbeen distributed in the East Coast’s New York Metro and Mid-Atlantic regionsand will continue to expand throughout the Northeastern U.S.

“Simply put, our growth has been fueled by consumer demand,”Founder and CEO of Zest Tea, James Fayal told ConvenienceStore Decisions. “Our rapid retail expansion is testament to ourbranding as a healthy and natural alternative in the energy drink space,directly in line with consumer trends.”

Fayal plans to keep pace with demand by providing Zest Tea’sbagged and RTD lines to current and new distribution partners.
