Earlier this month, Boulder, Colorado-based tea and teaware company The Tea Spot introduced its Voyager tea tumbler. Created especially for travel, it is the latest tea tumbler in a line of versatile tumblers designed by company founder and former mechanical engineer Maria Uspenski. “We’ve been working on developing it for the last couple of years,” Uspenski said. This tumbler will withstand the rough and tumble demands of moving from place to place. “It can be thrown in a backpack or in an overhead bin,” said Uspenski. It is made of doubled walled stainless steel, which ensures beverages inside will be insulated for hours. Hot drinks are kept hot for 10 hours and cold drinks are kept cold for 20 hours. The tumbler has a screw on lid that is leakproof with an unlock button for drinking. The lid can be disassembled for easy cleaning.

“For those reasons, it is our ideal tumbler for traveling with tea,” said Uspenski. It comes with a fine stainless steel tea infuser for brewing teas and herbs or infusing fruits. It is available in four metallic colors: Obsidian, Rose Quartz, Peridot, and Opalite. The Peridot and Opalite colors have a design depicting the story of tea from farm to cup, as well as brewing instructions. The Voyager Tea Tumbler can be purchased on The Tea Spot's website.
