BevCanna Introduces GruvBeverages
Vancouver, British Columbia-based BevCanna Enterprises is introducing Gruv Beverages, its new cannabis-infused ready-to-drink iced teas, reports a company press release. “The brand embodies the delight we have in connecting with others and ourselves. It sets the pace for reveling in the moment. It’s a lively and approachable brand – grooving to the music of life,” states the release.
Gruv Beverages will have two flavors: Matcha Green Iced Tea,and Ginger Mint Herbal Iced Tea.
The teas were formulated in response to the BevCanna’s research covering North American consumers and their preferences pertaining to cannabis-infused beverages and are meant to assist people with relaxation.
“Iced tea was among the top five performing concepts, among25 product concepts tested,” said Emma Andrews, Chief Commercialization Officerat BevCanna. “We are also choosing to launch this brand with a balanced THC andCBD profile (1:1 ratio), in order to provide consumers with a mild, yeteffective cannabis experience.”
The launching of Gruv Beverages in the United States willmark one of the first brands by BevCanna in the country. The company plans tolaunch its cannabis-infused teas in Canada after the anticipated legalizationof infused products in Oct. 2019.
Tempo Tea LaunchesWellness Shots
Chicago-based functional beverage producer, Tempo Tea,recently introduced a line of two new wellness shots, reported BevNet.
The shots are small and portable and meant to aid people ingetting through their busy lives.
Each 2.5 ounce wellness shot is has 25 milligrams of cannabidiol,as well as tea and fruit.
- Tempo Focus is an energizing blend of green tea,ginger, ashwagandha and CBD.
- Recover is intended to relax and rejuvenate withits blend of rooibos, blueberry, turmeric and CBD.
“We’re all about the possibilities for innovation in thebetter-for-you beverage category,” said Ryan Crane, founder and CEO of Tempo ina pressrelease. “While interest in cannabis-infused beverages has beensurging for a while now, we saw an opportunity to take a more purposeful, cleanand functional approach and create a beverage packed with superfoods that issimultaneously convenient for the active, on-the-go professional,” he added.
The company was founded in 2017 with a line of sparklingnatural tea-based products, which are currently sold in Whole Foods Marketsthroughout Illinois. The wellness shots are currently sold online and the companyintends to distribute them at specialty and convenience stores.
