More and more consumers search and shop online for what they want and need. In fact, a new Allied Market Research report points out that the global e-commerce market is on the rise, and it generated $15.7 trillion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach $63.8 trillion by 2032. But what are consumers searching for when it comes to tea – and who’s searching?
Google search data offers key insights and shows what consumers are searching for right now, or what they might be looking to buy online. In addition, Google offers insights on who’s searching for tea via region.
We’ll take a look at this data from a U.S. perspective (although, worldwide data is also available and, at the end of this article, we'll tell you how to pull the data yourself).
GOOGLE SEARCH TRENDS & TEA
Curated by Google’s trends data team, Google shares details on what people are seeking online through its search engine.
For tea, Google presents search trends on the “rising” and “top” tea queries and tea related topics, as well as the top U.S. states and U.S. cities searching for tea. And the results are quite interesting and surprising.
For our purposes, we’ll pull the data for the above noted areas from the last 90 days, as well as the last 12 months to get a complete snapshot.
Note that these search queries and topics are unfiltered by Google, to present an complete and accurate picture.
