California Dreamin' - Part 1 - Pack Your Bags for Long Beach!

CailforniaDreaminBlogAm I dreaming? Is this a dream come true for you? World Tea Expo 2014 is moving out of Las Vegas to sunny (and a bit cooler) Long Beach, California!  And, now… I cannot stop... California dreamin’…Let’s dream together, shall we? Together, we will explore the Long Beach area, find wonderful things to do, fabulous places to dine, tourist attractions, and so much more.  I have volunteered my time to write this California dreamin’ blog as a travelogue and preview of the 2014 World Tea Expo. I will dig deeper into events scheduled to happen at the Expo.  I will also introduce and help you explore some unique networking opportunities as they are announced since this is one of the most personally rewarding things many people consider while at the Expo. From now through May, 2014, I am committed to bringing this blog to you at least once per month.  I have great information to share with you but also encourage you to comment or contact me directly with questions or requests for assistance finding information about Long Beach and World Tea Expo.  Watch the http://www.worldteaexpo.com website for more information, travel and hotel details, programming and other important information. But, rely on me and this blog for the fun side! World Tea Expo will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center from May 29-May 31, 2014. I don’t know about you, but I am definitely going to tag on a few days ahead (take advantage of the Memorial Day holiday) and create what I call a great “fake-cation” – business trip/vacation – well sort of.  I welcome a few days of relaxation before the Expo. Without further ado….here is a little info to fill your dreams until next time: World Tea Expo 2014Do you enjoy long walks along the beach…a cool breeze in your hair? Whale watching, window shopping, or waterfront dining? How about afternoon tea aboard the Queen Mary? Shopping for vintage threads on Retro Row? Or hop aboard a four-person pedal surrey and enjoy the 5.5 mile beachfront bike path. Hungry? Spend some time savoring the many international eateries. For those of you missing Las Vegas, you can always look up Outer Limits Tattoos, one of the country’s oldest tattoo parlors.  Cruise the Naples Canals in style with romantic Italian Gondolas.  Or grab some night life at Irish pubs, dance clubs, and piano bars, at downtown Long Beach nightclubs and bars.  World Tea Expo 2014For the rest who are really, truly, California Dreamin’ you can explore five public golf courses, nearby tea shops, laugh it up at one of the world’s largest comedy clubs (Laugh Factory, Long Beach), or hop on a Segway to swiftly take in the sights of Rainbow Harbor and the waterfront.   And, lastly, who has not wanted to actually visit Bubba Gump’s – Run, Forrest, Run! I too would like to say don’t walk but RUN! As soon as travel details/hotel choices are announced, make travel arrangements, register to attend World Tea Expo 2014 and sign up for some educational sessions as well. There is something for everyone!  Give yourself plenty of time to plan your schedule to maximize your time for business and a little pleasure outside of show hours.  This unique venue will be drawing a considerably large attendance from across the USA and around the world. I personally know a lot of people who are very excited for this move to Long Beach and I know you will agree once you see everything that has been planned. It will be fresh, new, and exciting with excellent opportunities for networking and deepening business relationships.   Until next time, I remain California Dreamin’… : ) Gail Gastelu, The Tea House Times
