Founders of Mighty Leaf Tea Launch Good Pharma

Leaving their corporate careers of finance and real estate behind, Gary Shinner and Jill Portman began their entrepreneurial journeys by developing and launching Mighty Leaf Tea. After spending 15 years building the brand as a leading, premium tea company, they sold Mighty Leaf to Peet’s Coffee/JAB Holdings in 2014.

Shinner and Portman’s hearts and interests continued in the ‘better for you” category, helping mission-based companies and nonprofits. However, the two innovators said they had “unfinished business” and wanted to bring their own vision to life by establishing a wellness company. Thus, Good Pharma was launched this month.
