TAZO Introduces Line of TAZO Refreshers, TAZO Unsweetened Iced Tea Mixes

Recently, TAZO introduced a lineup of new products: TAZO Refreshers and TAZO Unsweetened iced tea mixes, geared towards those who want to jazz up their water game. Consumers can simply add equal parts tea mix and equal parts water for an easy and delicious way to stay hydrated.

Jami Lewchik, head of TAZO and portfolio sustainability at ekaterra Americas (Unilever’s tea division), said the new line addresses a current trend. “Consumers have been seeking more exciting ways to hydrate, with Google searches for ‘hydration’ almost doubling since 2016, and over 2.4 million posts on Instagram using #Hydration,” said Lewchik. “TAZO’s new lineup of Refreshers and Unsweetened iced tea mixes were developed to help consumers make their water more exciting, allowing them to easily make barista-quality iced teas in seconds.”

The new TAZO line-up includes:

TAZO Refreshers – Made with real fruit juice, botanicals and tea, TAZO Refreshers are available in two unique flavors – Iced Citrus Jasmine and Iced Watermelon Cucumber. With 0 grams of added sugar, Refreshers are refreshing, tropical flavors that combine tea with a splash of fruit juice.

TAZO Unsweetened Iced Tea Mixes – TAZO Unsweetened includes TAZO’s classic and most popular blends – Passion, ZEN and Black. Iced Passion is an unsweetened fusion of hibiscus, orange peel, rose hips and passion fruit flavors. Iced ZEN offers crisp notes of lemongrass, spearmint and unsweetened green tea. And the Iced Black is a brewed blend of unsweetened black teas sourced from Argentina to Assam.

‘Deliberately Made to Add Thirst-quenching Flavor to Water and Elevate Hydration’

“TAZO’s Refreshers and Unsweetened iced tea mixes are new innovations as part of TAZO’s existing portfolio of latte concentrates and iced tea mixes,” said Lewchik. “Each of these new product lines were deliberately made to add thirst-quenching flavor to water and elevate hydration with a unique TAZO twist. Both product lines offer barista-quality iced teas in seconds, which can be customized to your liking.”

While TAZO’s Refreshers and Unsweetened iced tea mixes are mainly geared towards consumers for the moment, Lewchik said TAZO “…would love to see these catch on and expand even further. We’ve been excited by the consumer reception to-date, which has been positive and can be attributed to the delicious blends and the easy-to-use iced tea mix format, which allows for consumers to easily recreate barista-quality beverages in their own homes.”

Currently, TAZO’s Refreshers and Unsweetened iced tea mixes are available in the United States at Walmart, Target and other grocery stores nationwide and online.
