TATA Consumer Products is breathing new life into Good Earth’s portfolio with the revival of two fan-favorite teas – Decaffeinated Lemongrass and Black Chai – in tandem with Good Earth’s 50th anniversary.
Sneha Balasubramaniam, head of marketing and consumer products at TATA Consumer Products, told World Tea News: “After years of brand growth, evolution and pushing boundaries, our parent company – TATA Consumer Products – wanted to reenergize Good Earth to prioritize the brand’s legacy and bring back what consumers missed the most.”
Balasubramaniam said the two newly relaunched teas were fan-favorites since the inception of the brand. “We wanted to bring back what consumers were asking for and revive the nostalgia,” she said. “We are excited to be celebrating the brand’s historic 50th anniversary by giving our passionate and loyal customers what they want.”
Good Earth offers a variety of “flavors of nature,” including Moroccan Mint, Bold English Breakfast, Ginger Turmeric & Lemon, Tropical Mango and Moringa, Hibiscus Rose & Sweet Berries, Rooibos Chai, Crème Earl Grey and more.
Founded in 1972, Good Earth is considered a trailblazer in the American herbal tea category and was inspired by sunny Santa Cruz, Calif. All the brand’s tea blends are made with the highest-quality ingredients and with the planet at top of mind, and all of their Sensorial Blends are Rainforest Alliance Certified. Additionally, the Sweet & Spicy are made without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
“Our teas are all about spreading positivity, excitement and creativity,” said Balasubramaniam. “We make naturally delicious and daring drinks that go beyond the usual cuppa. Every tea bag packs a punch of playfulness. Every bag gives back to the planet, big time. And every sip stands for standing out from the crowd.”
Good Earth’s “Be the Good” Campaign
In conjunction with the anniversary, Good Earth is also activating its “Be the Good” campaign, a national initiative set to inspire acts of good within communities.
Speaking on the campaign, Balasubramaniam said, “Good Earth is committing to rallying the community, locally in California and nationally, to participate in conscious acts of kindness by celebrating the good things, from the small to the big, to help foster positivity. Throughout April, Good Earth will be sharing tips on how to be the good and offering surprise and delight packages to consumers who are positively impacting their communities.”
With the relaunch of two of Good Earth’s most successful teas, the company said it’s providing consumers with varieties that are completely unconventional from what is currently in the category.
“The refreshing flavors within the Decaffeinated Lemongrass go beyond the basic and simple tastes of traditional decaf green teas, whilst the Black Chai offers a warm and full-bodied brew, catering to a true chai lover,” said Balasubramaniam.
Good Earth’s Chai and Decaffeinated Lemongrass Green teas are available at GoodEarth.com and on Amazon in packs of 18 for US$3.99.
