Lipton Releases Sakura Milk Tea in Japan
Lipton is celebrating cherry blossom season with its new Sakura Milk Tea, reports Japan Today. The beverage launched throughout Japan (excluding Okinawa) Feb. 19. This limited edition flavor will only be available during spring of 2019.
Its taste is described as the original Lipton Milk Tea with the addition of cherry blossoms.
The pink packaging with cherry blossom accents complements the festive spring theme.
Jamba Juice Philippines Adds Tea to Smoothies
Jamba Juice is incorporating tea into two new smoothies at its Philippines locations, reports Page One. The company’s Tea Smoothies are available in: Berry Black Tea and Matchanana blends. Each healthy smoothie is made with real tea, real fruit and low fat milk.
The Berry Black Tea smoothy provides a great way to start the day since it offers an energy boost without added sugar. Its blend of black tea and blueberries is a great source of antioxidants and calcium.
The Matchanana builds on the ever-increasing popularity of matcha while being nourishing. It is a blend of matcha and bananas, so it is satisfying and a good source of Vitamin B6, calcium and fiber.
The tea smoothies will only be available for a limited time.
McDonalds Japan Offers a Matcha Green Tea McFlurry
McDonald’s has added a matcha dessert to its Japanese menu, reports Elite Daily.
The Matcha Green Tea McFlurry consists of McDonald’s vanilla soft serve ice cream blended with Oreo cookies and matcha green tea syrup.
This sweet combination is only available in Japan’s outlets and at McDonald’s Headquarters Restaurant in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood where customers can currently order the Matcha Green Tea McFlurry off of the February 2019 Global Menu.
“As part of our new headquarters, we wanted to provide our customers with an exciting way to experience our global menu right here in Chicago,” said Steve Easterbrook, McDonald’s President and CEO in a company press release. “We are delighted to showcase a taste of McDonald’s from all over the world making this location a one-of-a-kind experience that Chicagoans will enjoy with friends and family.”
