Australia’s Madura Tea Estates has recently won the Best Tea Bag Award in Australia, as judged by Canstar Blue for the second year in a row (since the awards inception). Executives of the ratings company were present to hand over to the staff and owners of Madura, the prestigious Blue Taste Award, which is the result of a survey of 2,500 Australian consumers undertaken by independent research company, Colmar Brunton.
“This is a great result in a very competitive market, and a great validation of the Madura brand. Tea drinkers looking for the perfect cup of tea should look for Madura in their local supermarket or online, as Australia’s own go-to brand for quality tea bag taste”, said Rebecca Logan, manager of Canstar Blue. Ms Logan said that 85 per cent of consumers surveyed told Canstar Blue they sought value and were prepared to pay more for an item “if it tastes good”.
“This award is extremely important to us”, said Gary Davey, one of the owners of Madura Tea Estates. “ For the second year running, being the winner for best tasting tea, beating all major International brands such as Twinings, Lipton, Tetley and Dilmah – well, it doesn’t get any better than that does it!” Gary added.
Madura Tea Estates is the only 100% Australian owned family, growing, blending and packing tea company, based in ideal, sub-tropical conditions on Australia’s east coast, and offering a full range of the finest selection of traditional and exotic teas. Located in New South Wales, Australia, Madura Tea Estates has been growing, blending, and selling premium tea since 1978.
