New Teas Launched at the Winter Fancy Food Show

ITO EN, The Republic of Tea and Stash Tea all debuted new teas at the Winter Fancy Food Show, the West Coast’s largest specialty food and beverage show, which took place at San Francisco’s Moscone Center, Jan. 13-15.

ITO EN North America launched two ready-to-drink milk teas: Matcha Milk Tea and Black Milk Tea. Milk teas have long been popular in Japan. Now the creamy teas can be enjoyed in a convenient 11.8 fluid ounce BPA-free bottles imprinted with charmingly fitting cow patterns along with Japanese kanji characters. Matcha Milk Tea is made with authentic Japanese matcha and has 140 calories per bottle. Black Milk Tea is created with Sri Lankan black tea leaves and has 150 calories per bottle. Both teas are sweetened with cane sugar. “It’s the perfect café like experience in a bottle,” said Rona Tison, executive vice president of corporate relations in a company press release. “We put our tea expertise to work by balancing the taste of tea with a subtlety sweet creamy taste. The Republic of Tea Debuted 13 New Teas

Novato, Califoria-based tea company, The Republic of Tea, debuted 13 healthy new teas, ranging from botanical blends to matcha. The variety of teas meets different wellness needs and palate preferences. A noteworthy line is the Beautifying Botanicals Collection, which has two collagen-promoting blends that were formulated to support healthy skin from the inside. The Beauty Sleep Tea is an herbal mix of chamomile, rose, blueberry, lavender and other botanicals, meant to promote relaxation. The hydrating Daily Beauty Tea also contains blueberries and lavender, mixed with a proprietary herbal blend meant to improve skin complexion. The company also introduced its Super Adapt Teas, a collection of five adaptogenic blends meant to help people cope with stress. The blends are:

  • Restore and Reset: a restorative blend of cocoa, rooibos, roasted dandelion root and Reishi mushrooms.
  • Hormone Harmony: a stimulating blend containing maca and ginseng with nutty notes.
  • Burnout Blocker: an earthy energy inducing blend of Chaga medicinal mushrooms, cinnamon, ginger and dates.
  • Clarity and Calm: meant to promote mental clarity, this blend contains Ashwagandha, which has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Stash Tea Introduced a New White Tea

Portland, Oregon-based Stash Tea introduced its new white tea blend, Elderflower citrus, reported Nosh. The new blend was inspired by the consumer demand for floral flavors. Elderflower Citrus is the third in a trio of fruit-infused blends recently launched by the company. The other two are Sweet Honeydew and Asian Pear Harmony. All are sold in boxes of 18 tea bags. The collection is all-natural and Non-GMO Project Verified. The refreshing, fruity collection appeals to new and seasoned tea drinkers alike.
