TEAloe, an RTD beverage combining green tea and aloe, was just named Best Ready-To-Drink Tea by the 2013 Beverage Innovation Awards. With a panel of 16 beverage industry professionals serving as the judges, this competition aims to award beverage companies for creative product development.
This past May, TEAloe won first place in the North American Tea Championship’s Ready-To-Drink Flavored Green Iced Tea category. Then in June, TEAloe’s Mint won the Buyer’s Choice Award for Best Iced Tea in the Winner’s Tasting Circle at World Tea Expo.
This newest distinction is especially impressive because the Beverage Innovation Awards received over 370 entries from 40 countries around the world, divided into 29 categories. The Ready-To-Drink Tea category is known for its virtuosity and fierce competition.
This year’s streak, winning award after award, illustrates TEAloe’s appeal to a wide audience as well as anticipating its prospects as a major brand in the retail beverage case.
TEAloe is a ready-to-drink, organic, fair trade, brewed green tea combined with organic aloe vera bits, which add a juicy dimension to its combination of ingredients. The beverage was created by TEAloe LLC, funded by Gofredy Salazar and Diana Cruz, both industrial engineers with experience in the food & beverage and retail industries.
